1965-Dad Shoots a Big Ole' Buck
Check out these timeless photos from 1965, the first Kansas deer hunting season. Ed Buer (plaid shirt) went hunting with his friend and neighbor Roy Moore (red shirt) on the bluffs overlooking the Republican River. Roy shot a nice doe and Ed downed a bruiser 13 point buck. Kirby was 7 years old and Kent was 4. The Buer family has been intrigued with big whitetails ever since.
